Get Rid of Mosquitoes

The World Heath club estimates that there are up to 500 million Malaria and other Mosquito borne disease cases each year and 1 million resulting in death. Mosquito borne disease is gift in over 100 countries and territories. Practically 50% of the world's population is at risk and that includes the Usa, Europe, Scandinavia and other countries you might not suspect. Wherever you live, you may be at risk of contracting long term illness or death straight through mosquito bite. However, simple, cost sufficient solutions are available.

Only the female mosquito causes bites. The male does not need the protein from blood to fertilize eggs and prefers sap from plants. Mosquitoes are one of the many threats to human life from the insect world but... They can be controlled with the right tool and it does not have to be expensive. Mosquitoes carry a amount of very serious diseases which you should be aware of. Here we look briefly at some of these diseases and their symptoms:

Dengue Fever

Dengue Fever and viruses furnish a range of illness ranging from a viral syndrome to severe and fatal hemorrhagic disease. Symptoms may begin with fever (up to 105 degrees Fahrenheit), severe headache, retro-orbital (behind the eye) pain, severe joint and muscle pain, nausea and vomiting, and rash within five or six days after a person has been bitten by an infected mosquito. Three or four days after the onset of the fever, the rash may cover most of the body with a further rash later in the disease. The most usual time for Dengue fever is after the rainy season in tropical and sub tropical areas. There is no fail proof rehabilitation for Dengue Fever and the best method of preventing this and other viruses and diseases is by avoiding mosquitos or trapping and killing them whenever possible.

Ross River Fever or Virus

Ross River virus is one of a group of viruses called arboviruses (or arthropod-borne viruses), which are spread mainly by biting and blood-sucking insects. Most base in rural areas and sometimes causing a flu-like symptoms with joint pains, rash and fever, it is not fatal. Often population infected with the virus will not fabricate symptoms.

• Some population will have flu-like symptoms along with fever, chills, ill and pains in the muscles and joints which can come to be swollen, and joint stiffness may be particularly noticeable in the morning.
• Sometimes a rash occurs on the body, arms or legs and ordinarily disappears after a week to 10 days.
• A normal feeling of tiredness or feebleness may also occur at times during the illness affecting work doing and concentration.

West Nile Virus

West Nile Virus infects humans, birds, horses, bats and other mammals. The virus can cause the development of neuro-invasive diseases, the most severe type of illness caused by West Nile Virus. This attacks the nervous system. West Nile encephalitis is inflammation of the brain, while West Nile meningitis is inflammation of the membrane colse to the brain and the spinal cord. West Nile fever causes fever, headache, fatigue, aches and pains, and rash. West Nile meningo-encephalitis results in inflammation of the brain and the surrounding membrane.

Malaria
Malaria is spread by an infected mosquito bite with symptoms along with tremor chills, head and muscle aches, vomiting, fatigue, nausea, and diarrhea. Malaria can also progress the spleen and liver and cause anemia and jaundice (yellowing of the skin and eyes). Death may occur from normal weakness, anemia, or clogged cerebral tissue vessels, kidney failure, seizures, reasoning confusion, coma, and death if not treated very quickly.

Heartworm Disease

Heartworm disease is serious and potentially fatal. It is caused by parasitic worms, microfilariae, that can flourish in the arteries of the lungs and in the right side of the heart of dogs, cats and other species of mammals, along with wolves, foxes, ferrets, sea lions and (in rare instances) humans.

Heartworm disease is caused by mosquito bites which replacement microfilariae from one animal's circulatory theory to another. The heartworm migrates to the heart and out into the pulmonary arteries where it mates and reproduces. The adult heartworm several inches long and generates a strong inflammatory response and a tendency for blood to inappropriately clot. The lining of the artery becomes damaged within days of the worm's arrival. If sufficient worms are present, the heart must work extra hard to pump blood straight through the plugged up arteries. The arteries progress and bend causing clotting and Aneurysms. Symptoms include coughing and inability to exercise, nosebleeds (due to abnormal clotting in the lung), heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, heart muscle thickening, arrhythmia (which may follow in sudden death).

How to prevent Mosquito Bites

There are many inhibitive measures that should be taken to protect your house and your pets from mosquito bites. Make sure there are no areas of standing water colse to your home for mosquitoes to breed in. Some repellants are fine for humans but not recommended for pets due to their tendency to ingest them by licking themselves. Clean your gutters and any other areas where water can gather.

The most sufficient solution is also one of the least expensive. Mosquito Traps are very efficient, inexpensive and uncomplicated to empty. The best traps in the world use a composition of attractants to draw the mosquitos, in large numbers, into the trap. These attractants should all be gift to be the most effective... Flashing Led lights, a fluorescent light bulb and a chemical brew that contains lactic acid and octenol that mimics the smell of human skin.

You can buy these traps online for a surprisingly small amount however always make sure that the trap incorporates an octenol and lactic acid brew as well as lights to attract mosquitoes.
