Bees in the Water Meter Box ◔_◔

Bees in the Water Meter Box ◔_◔ Video Clips. Duration : 5.42 Mins.

◔_◔ Bees in the Water Meterbox...and Bats in the Belfry! Just got up to check some of the water meters on the Nymphwood estate when I heard the meter reader's van out the front. (I usually go out to put the lids back on the boxes, as the water meter people usually try to avoid the redback spiders and don't often bother to put the covers back on.) So imagine my amazement when I found an ENTIRE swarm of bees in the water meter box! Hmm! I wonder if there's some lovely honeycomb to be had under all of that swarm? The water meter reader won't be back for another three months, now, so I guess he or she won't be calling the pest exterminator, but will be leaving the hive for us to deal with. I expect they might up and move away, now, as their cover has been blown! Is there a queen bee under all that lot of wings? Now that I think about it, a water meter box is not unlike a beebox, I suppose--like the type used by farmers--with removable sliding pieces, and things. Wonders never cease in my lovely garden. And, remember, "Bee it ever so bumble, there is no place like comb!" .....
