Dandelion is a rich source of vitamins and minerals, including Vitamin A, D, C, various B Vitamins, iron, lecithin, silicon, potassium, magnesium, zinc and manganese. It enhances liver and gall bladder functioning and may decrease high blood pressure due to its diuretic properties. Dandelion has also been used for stimulating appetite and for relieving stomach plentifulness and gas.

Its leaf has been used for stimulating the appetite, and for promoting water loss and blood circulation. It has also been used for gallstones and arthritis.

Dandelion should not be used while fertilization and because of the potential risk to the infant, breast-feeding while using this stock is not recommended.
